Freedom and Democracy are at

DEFCON ONE

February 06, 2010

In one stroke of the pen, the US Supreme Court has handed our democracy over to the corporate machine. The very same corporate machine that is responsible for running this country straight into the ground with war profiteering, an economic collapse, a housing crisis, a bogus "war on drugs" for profit, and massive environmental devastation just to name a few.

This action has effectively removed democratic power form the people and handed it to these greed and profit based entities who have absolutely no regard for what is best for the people of this country. If anyone out there believes otherwise then they should be playing pinball because they are certainly deaf, dumb, and blind. Yes, there are some good responsible corporations out there, but not enough to make a difference. There are many, and most of the biggest, that are totally blinded by greed and profit and will use their virtually unlimited resources to get what they want for the purpose of profit with no regard for us, you and me.

If this act is not repealed right now, then no matter what form of change you want, no matter what your political, social, or personal beliefs or positions are, if you are not on the side of the corporate machine, then you will lose, we will lose. We as a people have no chance against these forces without taking steps such as those that initially founded this country.

You might read this and say, "why is the ACGE concerned with this? Well, like I mentioned before, we will never realize change with these anti democratic laws in place. We will not stand a chance when it comes to defeating the oil, nuclear, and coal powers that be, they will simply buy all elections from this point and get what they want. I have hope though, and it lies where it belongs, in the people. It is up to us to put a stop to these enemies of freedom. This is our country, it belongs to the people, not the corporations,  not the Supreme Court, and not to Congress. Corporations are not people, WE are, and WE need to explain that to our Government right now in a way they understand and before it is truly too late.

If there has ever been a time to unite and fight back, it is now. We should be initiating peaceful demonstrations from one end of this country to the other to protest this, and many other things. We should be marching on the steps of both the Supreme Court and the Capitol building until the power is placed back into the hands of the people.

This is critical for our very survival.
