Here

On
CNN last night, (Anderson Cooper 360), Ian R. MacDonald, an oceanographer
at Florida State University, told Anderson Cooper that he estimates the BP oil leak in the gulf
is not spilling 5,000 barrels a day like BP estimated, but 70,000 barrels
with a margin of error of +/- 20%. That means that it could be as low as
56,000 barrels or as much as 84.000 barrels. That blows my 50 day theory
all to hell.
In
my last post I stated that based on the 5,000 barrels a day, the BP
estimate, within 50 days the spill would be equivalent to the Exxon
Valdez spill. With these new numbers that will occur every 3.6 days.
If
it is true that BP has low balled the numbers it is my opinion
that they should face criminal charges for environmental terrorism, or
something like that. No matter what, some kind of criminal charges
must be levied, we cant let these companies get away with this
bullshit any longer, and fines don't make a difference. These oil
companies pay big fines and in a matter of days they have their money
back, that's not much of an incentive to do the right thing. CEO's spending
some time in the BIG HOUSE is a life changing experience.
